He joined Florida Cardiology in 1992 after completing his Cardiology Fellowship training.     Dr. Penn is a cardiologist, Director of Research and Program Director for the Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at Summa Health. He is a Professor of Medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University. From 2000–2011 he served at the Cleveland Clinic as Director of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit and Founding Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Cell Therapy. In 2011 he was recognized as one of the top 50 doctors in the history of the Cleveland Clinic.

    Dr. Cairl has held several research and academic positions with publications in gerontology and long-term care. He has led the development and implementation of clinical programs including Annual Wellness Visit, Chronic Care Management, ER Diversion, and Transitions of Care programs dedicated to the success of Medicare and commercial ACO efforts.
